  Paul Anthony Young (born in Luton on 17th January 1956) is a British pop, rock and soul singer, with a propensity for disco and romantic ballads songs. The tone of many songs is also characterized by extensive use of falsetto, especially at the beginning of his solo career in the period 1983-1986, particularity then almost lost to a serious problem on his vocal cords. He was also guitarist and bassist, and the lead singer of the Q-Tips, before he began his solo career in 1983.
